Med Goldring Elite får man virkelig mye for pengene. Her bør man merke seg at det brukes en Fritz Gyger S stylus som vi normalt sett kan beregne over 2000 timers bruk. Enkelte mener FG S kan tåle så mye som 5000 timer, litt avhengig av hvor nøye man er med rene plater og ren stylus, riktig nåletrykk samt andre innstillinger. Er man nøye, får man ikke bare bedre lyd men også mye rimeligere bruk. Goldring Elite viser at man får årevis med ekstremt god lyd til en rimeligere pris enn hva man skulle tro. NB: Hifi Stasjonen anbefaler ikke flytende rensemiddel til stylus. Ved bruk av flytende rensemiddel på stylus frafaller all garanti/reklamasjon. Fra Goldring webside: The Elite is an ultra high-performance low-output moving coil cartridge which incorporates Goldring's most recent design features. These include new magnetic circuitry, an ultra-rigid Pocan body and a Neodymium magnet. The Elite incorporates a Gyger S line contact stylus, providing maximum groove information retrieval and an outstandingly smooth and extended response. Optimum damping on both channels is achieved by symmetrically winding the low-mass armature. Silver wire is used for the coils, which supplies much higher definition than is found in standard cartridge construction. The Elite represents the very best in British audio technology and design.
